Roof Replacement
Roof Replacement in St. Louis, MO
Full tear-off and replacement with new flashing as standard.
The Situation
Most St. Louis homeowners do not replace a roof because they want to. They replace it because a storm found the weak point, or because a twenty-year roof finally started letting water into a ceiling. Either way the decision is expensive, hard to evaluate, and usually made under time pressure with a contractor standing in the driveway.
What's Included in Every Roof Replacement Job
- Complete tear-off of all existing roofing layers down to the deck
- Deck inspection with rotten or delaminated sheathing replaced

- New drip edge on eaves and rakes
- Full magnetic sweep of the property and debris haul-off
- Manufacturer and workmanship warranty documentation
Materials & Brands
We install CertainTeed architectural and designer shingle systems as our standard, and we hold Master Craftsman certification in both shingles and low-slope systems. Metal and composite slate are available for homeowners who want a fifty-year answer instead of a twenty-five-year one — Ben carries a metal roofing systems certification from the University of Wisconsin.
How It Works
Our Roof Replacement Process
- STEP 01
Free inspection and documentation
We get on the roof, photograph every slope, and document damage the way a carrier needs to see it. You get the photos whether or not you hire us.
- STEP 02
Scope and estimate
A written scope with line items, materials, and a firm number. If insurance is involved, we build the scope against your policy language, not against a guess.
- STEP 03
Claim and approval support
We meet your adjuster on the roof, hold the scope to the policy, and file supplements when the approved scope misses code-required work.
- STEP 04
Material delivery and scheduling
Materials are verified against the order in JobNimbus before the crew arrives. You get a date, not a window.
- STEP 05
Installation
Most residential roofs are a one-day tear-off and install. A project manager is on site with photo documentation flowing into our CRM as the job progresses.
- STEP 06
Final walkthrough and closeout
We walk the property with you, complete the punch list, and do not release payment to our crews until the job passes our own QC.
St. Louis & St. Charles Specifics
Why Roof Replacement Is Different in Greater St. Louis
St. Louis sits in a corridor that gets both sides of the weather: spring hail lines that come up out of the southwest, straight-line wind events, and a summer-to-winter temperature swing that works fasteners loose over time. Municipal code across St. Louis County and Franklin County frequently requires ice and water shield and specific ventilation ratios that older roofs never had. When we replace a roof we bring it to current code, and when insurance is paying we make sure the carrier's scope reflects that requirement.

Questions
Roof Replacement FAQ
Most residential roofs in our service area are torn off and installed in a single day. Larger or more complex roofs with multiple planes, steep pitch, or extensive decking replacement can run two to three days.
If your roof has storm damage — hail bruising, wind-lifted or missing shingles, or resulting water intrusion — a Missouri homeowners policy typically covers replacement subject to your deductible. Wear and age alone are not covered. We inspect at no charge and tell you honestly which situation you are in.
Yes. New flashing at walls, chimneys, and penetrations is included in every full replacement we do. Reusing old flashing is one of the most common shortcuts in this trade and one of the most common causes of a leak in an otherwise new roof.
Yes. We work with a third-party lender offering terms up to 180 months and a no-payment promotional program. You can estimate a monthly payment on our financing page before anyone contacts you.
